In 2025, we will celebrate our 20th year of guiding tours, all of which have been focused on Portuguese wine regions. At the end of 2024, we completed our 70th weeklong group tour. Our tours range between 10-16 people with two of us guiding. Roy Hersh is co-host on every single tour. Our tours are open to everyone, plus, we also design and guide exclusive private-group tours as well.

We specialize in Douro, Madeira and the Azores, however we’re very well-versed in 10 additional wine regions across Portugal and will introduce you to the exceptional wine and food culture which varies from region-to-region in this beautiful country, that I call home.

The greatest testament to the care we put into each tour, is that our guests keep coming back. It is all about sharing our passion, knowledge and experience. Our unique point of difference is not only the high caliber of wines you will experience, but the fun and educational aspect of these bespoke, week-long explorations. While you’ll encounter wines ranging from young to ancient; my 35 years spent in the food & beverage industry across America, translates to introducing our guests to singular, authentic dining destinations, top chefs, and cuisine to delight the palates of the most discerning gastronomes.

Additionally, our guests spend quality time with the owners and winemakers of the Port, Madeira and Portuguese wine trade, who greet them with a warm welcome and wisdom, at every single winery we visit … and yet we have never repeated a single itinerary! The result is as unique as it is magical – and it’s why more than 40% of all guests since our very first tour in 2005, have joined us for at least a second time, many for a third tour, and a few dozen guests have come with us on more than five tours. Our basic philosophy is simple: a pay-one-price per person policy, no single supplements, no games … and basically, everything is included from the time your plane lands in Portugal, through your return to the airport at the end of your stay!
